The chocolate lounge is a delicious dessert place which is located inside of Harvey Nichols. They offer something for everyone with their wide variety of desserts such as fondues, chocolate sandwiches, smoothies and a range of silky drinking chocolates.
I visited the chocolate lounge inside of Harvey Nichols which is on the high street of in Edinburgh. As I arrived the layout was very open plan with a lot of space which made it seem very modern and different. At the time it was very busy which means we had to wait to get a seat which took a bit of time, however once there was seats available we were able to enjoy the experience. The chocolate lounge is very different to a lot of places as you are sitting at a massive round island with other people with a conveyer belt in the centre of the island so everyone had a clear view of it. On the conveyer belt a range of different desserts place which go round for everyone to see which I thought was very exciting. Once we ordered our desserts we had to wait for them to come round to us on the conveyer belt in front of us. Once we spotted our dessert we were then able to take them off and enjoy the delicious desserts. I thought this system worked really well and allowed everyone to see a variety of different desserts that others were ordering.
I really enjoyed this experience as it was certainly different and unique as its a service you wouldn't normally receive, although this system may not always work as people may miss their desserts on the conveyer belt which means they would have to wait for it to come round again. However I didn't notice any obvious issues with this during my experience.
